Welcome to Ballymun Community Law Centre

Ballymun Community Law Centre was established in 2002 to tackle unmet legal need in Ballymun. The community law centre provides free legal advice, information and representation and gives access to justice to people within the community.  It also delivers a mediation service as well as a legal education programme.

 

What is a community law centre?

A community law centre is a non-profit organisation which works to provide a range of legal services, eduation and mediation within a specific community.  

Ballymun Community Law Centre is a voluntary organisation (a registered charity and a company limited by guarantee).

EXCITING SOCIAL WELFARE LAW COURSE IN JULY!

Wednesday, 15 May 2013

Delivered by Professor Gerry Whyte of Trinity College, this course will cover various aspects of the Social Welfare code. Topics to be covered include Jobseekers' payments, family payments, sickness and disability payments, old age pensions, means-testing and Social Welfare appeals. The course will run on Wednesday afternoons from 3rd of July to 31st July 2013 between 2pm and 4pm. This course was extremely popular last year so it is advised to book early.

Family Mediation Service

BCLC has introduced a family mediation service in Ballymun.  The service is provided by professional and experienced family mediators.
