What is a community law centre?
A Community Law Centre is a non profit organisation which works to reduce and remove barriers to the law.
Ballymun Community Law Centre provides a range of community legal services in an area where no previous legal services existed.
Ballymun Community Law Centre is a voluntary organisation (a registered charity and a company limited by guarantee).
Our purpose
- to provide free legal advice, information and representation
- to deliver an innovative legal education programme
- to operate a community mediation service as an alternative dispute resolution system.
Areas of Law
BCLC specialises in certain areas of law. These are: Housing, Consumer, Debt, Social Welfare, Employment, Equality.
Values
We are committed to the principles of human rights, social justice, equality and community participation.
