Introduction to Human Rights Law: June 2024

The course will be delivered in person in BCLC, Shangan Rd, Ballymun.


An introductory course on Irish Human Rights Law consisting of four sessions.

The course will consider what is human rights law in Ireland today. It will look at what are human rights, the Constitution, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the Convention of the Rights of the Child, the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union and the European Convention on Human Rights, legislation and case law

The course is ideal for community activists, youth workers, people working in information or advocacy roles, or anyone with anyone with an interest in human rights. No previous knowledge of the law is required.

Fee: course fee €50.
