Presents SOCIAL WELFARE LAW A 10-hour course on the social welfare code will be delivered by PROFESSOR GERRY WHYTE of Trinity College Law School commencing 2nd November 2022 at 10am. Topics to be covered include: • Jobseekers' payments, • Family payments, • Sickness and disability payments, • Old age pensions, • Means-testing and, • Social welfare appeals. The course will be delivered using Zoom. You will need access to stable internet connection and a laptop, computer (with camera/mic) or a tablet. CONTENT

A 10-hour course on the social welfare code will be delivered by Professor Gerry Whyte of Trinity College Law School.

Topics to be covered include:

·       Sickness and disability payments,

·       Old age pensions,

·       Means-testing and,

·       Social welfare appeals.

This course is suitable for anyone working in advice or advocacy roles in the community, or anyone with an interest in this area of law. No previous legal or social welfare knowledge is required.
