Fight for your Rights Launch Photos

Ballymun Community Law Centre launched our new publication ‘Fight for your Rights’ on the 2nd September 2026 in the Rediscovery Centre, Ballymun.

The booklet is a newly updated and revised publication developed in collaboration with Trinity College Dublin students and funded by the Irish Human Rights and Equality Commission (IHREC). The new edition of Fight for your Rights is Ballymun centred and includes accessible explanations of rights, modern imagery, and contemporary case examples focused on how individuals and communities can assert their rights when interacting with public bodies.

BCLC’s Chairperson, Paula Reynolds, led the event, with opening remarks from the Minister for Justice, Jim O’Callaghan; Deirdre Malone, Director of IHREC; and Robert Murphy, local business owner and human rights advocate. This was followed by a light lunch for all attendees.

The event brought together local residents, community workers, students, legal practitioners and public representatives in marking the importance of human rights education in the community.
